Unfortunately it is difficult to get audio data across CORS boundaries. My plan is a separate CLI tool that downloads the audio and produces a text file you can drag on top of the site. Perhaps I will support manual tapping like https://looptranscribe.com, too.
I made a similar tool for two main purposes:
- studying dance videos (https://youloop.leftium.com/dt-SqNL4z3w/31~38)
- sharing short excerpts from (longer) YouTube videos (https://youloop.leftium.com/NvVbCqDgfCs/520~733?speed=2)
Feel free to steal my ideas: https://github.com/Leftium/youloop
- novel way to visualize A-B points, that can be dragged (https://youloop.leftium.com/?v=dt-SqNL4z3w&t=31~38)
- toggle between timeline for A-B section and entire video
- cleanest viewing experience using CSS trick to hide YouTube chrome
- much more...

In the future, I want to make a beat-aware media player (https://github.com/Leftium/phrasier)
