So the "backlash" is people on threads complaining that he isn't morally pure enough because he invested in SpaceX. This is to be expected from the "everything is political" types of people that are prevalent on Threads (and BlueSky). Tom should just ignore them.
Not sure if I'm missing a significant portion of the article as a non-subscriber, but there seems to be no backlash nor explanation of why he deleted it.
UPDATE: Tom Anderson deleted his post and changed his Threads bio following thousands of negative comments about his work with SpaceX and Elon Musk. In addition to his existing bio section, he added: “update: no interest in politics.”
